What makes your honeymoon unique and special? 

A honeymoon is the traditional holiday taken by newlyweds to celebrate their marriage in intimacy and seclusion. Today, honeymoons are sometimes celebrated somewhere exotic and considered special and romantic.

Not all honeymoons are alike.  A unique honeymoon in Costa Rica is especially recommended for couple that consider them to be different and out of the mainstream.  Cancun and the Bahamas is not for everybody.  If you would like to experience a truly special honeymoon, we recommend you take this advice into consideration.

1. Make time for you and your loved one.  Take at least 10 days, if not two full weeks for your honeymoon.  This is a very special time and most likely it will take you at least two to three days to decompress from all the stress of the wedding.
2. Add some variety.  Don’t spend all of your time in one single place.  Go to different places, stay at a variety of hotels, engage in different activities.  Take a look at this sample honeymoon itinerary.
   
3. Find the right balance between adventure / activities and romance / relaxation.   Make sure things are balanced out between a hike into the primary rainforest or whitewater rafting trip and a romantic candlelight dinner or a relaxing couples massage
4. Be a traveler, not just a tourist.  Connect with locals by visiting a school and teach the students a song, learn new skills like making tortillas or to dance salsa, experience primary rainforest or solitary beaches and relax in your hammock or with a cold drink looking out onto the Pacific Ocean.
